The MacBook Air from Apple is thin. Really, really thin. In designing this ultraportable notebook Apple decided to sacrifice neither usability nor style. The laptop, which weighs only three pounds, is housed in a sleek aluminum shell. It features a full-sized notebook keyboard, complete with an ambient light sensor and backlit keys. The computer is designed to meet the needs of professionals who demand an ultraportable computer. 
 
The MacBook Air is powered by the Intel Core 2 Duo Processor. The Core 2 Duo is actually two processors built into a single chip, which delivers much better performance than a single processor chip. The computer is loaded with a 64 GB Solid State hard drive, 2 GB of RAM, Airport Extreme wireless networking, integrated Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, a built-in speaker, and an integrated iSight webcam with microphone. The computer features a beautiful glossy 13" widescreen display that delivers a bright and clear image. 
 
All this hardware runs on Apple’s OS X 10.5 Leopard operating system with Rosetta technology. This allows you to seamlessly run legacy applications as well as Universal Binaries that have been designed to run on both PowerPC and Intel chips, making the MacBook Air a great choice for your home, office, or college dorm. 
 
FEATURES 

• The system is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor. The Core 2 Duo features two processors on a single chip, which increases system efficiency and reduces power consumption compared to two-chip dual processor systems. 
  
• The MacBook Air features an extremely slim design; it is thin enough to fit inside of a standard manila office envelope. At three pounds the computer won’t break your back, and its internal battery can provide up to five hours of runtime per charge. 
  
• Due to its thin form factor, the MacBook Air does not include an integrated optical drive. Apple offers a portable SuperDrive that can be connected and powered via the computer’s USB 2.0 port for users who need a portable optical drive. Alternatively, the MacBook Air includes Remote Disc software that allows it to access the optical drive of another PC or Macintosh computer. This software requires the MacBook and the computer with the optical drive to be on the same wireless network. 
  
• The MacBook Air is the first Apple computer to feature a multi-touch trackpad. The trackpad will change the way you control your computer; you’ll be able to pinch, swipe, or rotate your fingers to navigate through photos, text, or albums. iPhone users will feel right at home with multi-touch in OS X. 
  
• The system features a 64 GB solid state drive. This drive, which features no moving parts, relies on flash memory technology for data storage. It delivers faster transfer speeds than traditional drives, at the same time using less energy to operate. 
  
• The 13.3" Glossy LCD display delivers crisp, clear graphics. It is large enough to allow you to work efficiently while still keeping the laptop small enough to be easily portable. The display features a glossy finish, which delivers deeper color saturation and brighter images compared to comparable displays. The widescreen format gives you more viewing area than a standard aspect ratio display. 
  
• The built-in iSight camera allows you to participate in video conferencing using the included iChat AV software or easily setup a web cam. The camera is integrated in the computer’s design, taking the ugly "bubble camera" style that is often associated with web cams out of the picture. 
  
• The MacBook Air features the innovative MagSafe Power Connector. The adapter secures to the computer via a magnetic connection. If you trip over your power cord, you no longer have to worry about dragging your laptop off a desk or table - the cord will simply disconnect and no damage will be done.
