July 25, 2010 - Dobama Theatre, Cleveland, OH- Since 1959 the Dobama Theatre has specialized in premiering plays written by established and emerging contemporary playwrights. Although small in size compared to other performance spaces, their dedication to professionalism is second to none.
Recently with assistance of IMS Pro A/V and Sound Designer Richard Ingraham, the theater has invested in a sound system upgrade consisting of QSC Mains, Subs and Amps that can be heard during a new run starting in mid September. As always, all of us at IMS Pro A/V ask everyone to continue to attend and support their favorite regional theatre company.

July 16, 2010 - Gershon Kingsley, New York, NY- To use the word prolific is an understatement when you mention the name Gershon Kingsley. Just some of his numerous talents include arranging, composing and conducting. From Broadway to Film and TV and his affiliation with electronic music innovator Moog Music, Gershon has inspired many and brought endless hours of listening pleasure into our lives.
Together with our colleague Doug Epstein, who worked on a studio re-design, we are providing some new tools to assist Mr. Kingsley with his current music productions. Items included a new customized Apple 2.93 Ghz Mac Pro, Apple 24" LED Cinema Display, MOTU 24 I/O Core System PCIe, JBL MSC1 Monitor Control with Room Correction, DBX 386 Dual Channel Tube Mic Pre and more.

July 12, 2010 - IMS Pro A/V Donates Music Books To Schools in Guatemala
In the effort to support and enrich the lives of at risk children in Panajachel, Guatemala, IMS Pro A/V with logistical assistance from Jesse Neuman of MUSICWORKS, has donated numerous musical instrument instruction books to the Club Ninez y Juventud program.
Mr. Neuman, has traveled to both Quito, Ecuador and Panajachel, Guatemala to ensure that these children get the opportunity to learn about and experience the joys of playing a musical instrument.
IMS Pro A/V has recently shipped books from various publishers on three instructional levels for Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Flute, Cello and Drums among others in support of these critically important educational programs that otherwise would not exist without the help from outside resources.

June 25, 2010- Metro North Railroad, New York, NY- Counting on IMS Pro A/V for super prices and on time delivery, Metro North awards IMS with contracts to supply a variety of American Power Conversion (APC) Power Protection and UPS products, OmniDrive specialty drives and Magtek MT-95 Magnetic Card Readers.

June 25, 2010- Three Village Schools, Setauket, NY- Has awarded IMS Pro A/V the contract to supply 35 M-Audio Oxygen 49 Controllers for their new keyboard labs located in various schools within the district.

June 25, 2010- Cleveland Public Theater, Cleveland, OH- Comes to IMS Pro A/V for a new sound system based around QSC’s line of HPR powered loudspeakers.

June 23, 2010- State University of New York @ Stony Brook Residency Halls , Stony Brook, NY - Purchases a live sound system based around Yorkville Sounds excellent line of speakers providing crystal clear sound with high SPL’s at an unbeatable price.

June 23, 2010- Absolution Music, Wapwallopen, PA- Adds the studio standard Neumann U87’s to the microphone closet.

June 21, 2010- Luce Music, Riverhead, NY- Works with IMS Pro A/V designers to develop a portable acoustic treatment solution for the studio. The answer to meet budget and functionality was the Auralex Max-Wall 200 and MegaMax Stands.

June 15, 2010- Total Video Products, Mickleton, NJ - IMS Pro A/V was brought on board to take advantage of our extensive knowledge in the integration of video production workstations as part of a larger project. Products included customized Apple Mac Pro computer’s equipped with an onboard RAID system, Dual Apple 24" LED Cinema Displays, Aja’s Kona LHE video capture board with break out box, Bella’s FCP keyboard, and Apple’s Final Cut Studio software.

June 2, 2010- United Packaging Supply, BenSalem, PA - Required a small, hard drive that could be mounted to the back of the companies iMacs to use with Apple’s Time Machine and the perfect solution was the Rocstor line of I9 hard drives that have Firewire 400/800 and USB.

June 1, 2010- Road cases are flying out the door for all types of applications. LCD / Plasma Cases are leading the way but Rack Cases of all shapes and sizes are being gobbled up too. Products have recently gone to:  U.S. Army-OK, Bowling Green University-OH, City of Abilene Texas-TX, Valve Corporation-WA, Media Tec Publishing-IL, St. Francis University-PA, James Media Group-NY, EMC Advertising-CA among others.

May 27, 2010- Grace Cathedral International, Uniondale, NY - Asked IMS Pro A/V for a solution to isolate their Leslie organ speaker cabinet. The choice: Clearsonic’s custom Leslie complete enclosure that utilizes Sober Baffle Panels which provides up to a 60% reduction in sound and was the perfect compliment to the decor too.

May 19, 2010- James Media Group, Jamaica, NY - Relies on IMS Pro A/V to assemble a portable video system. Products included: Data Videos SE-500 Video Switcher, TLM-702 Dual 7" Rack Mounted Monitors, Sony HVR-M15AU HDV VTRs, Kramer Distribution Amps, Furman PL Plus C Power Conditioning, Sony HVR-HD 1000U Cameras and Manfrotto Tripods and Fluid Heads.

May 10, 2010- Sixty Second LP, Miami Beach, FL - Upgrades the studios with a new Digidesign Pro Tools HD2 system and Apple Mac Pro Computer.

Winter 2009/ 2010 - Winter in New York, where our main headquarters is located, often brings snow but this year snow storms have been few and far between while our website has brought in an ongoing storm of new customers from around the world.
Current Trends -
Audio for video / post applications and live sound for houses of worship, theater and various commercial applications have been very strong verticals. The studio / recording market has downsized over the past few years but growth in this vertical can be seen with the purchases and upgrades of computers, software, control surfaces, recoding interfaces and microphones. Studio furniture has been added to many home based studios as a way to organize the work space in addition to bringing in a professional look and feel.  Room treatment kits have become popular as way to improve what is being heard during the mix, while some have contracted IMS Pro A/V to design custom solutions to make the "home" environment as professional as possible.
