Version 2.0 of Miroslav Vitous String Ensembles: The Composer’s Dream is a massive revision of the original version released in 2009. Version 2.0 is now a 2 DVD set completely re-worked and extended for a much lower price.
Miroslav Vitous SE 2.0 is a Swiss-army-knife of a string library. Unlike other string libraries, you actually get 2 libraries in 1.
The first library are the string ensembles, while the second library contains beautiful pre-programmed all strings, unison, octave and pad combinations – ready to go, all in MV SE 2.0, The Composer’s Dream.
Four different library parts: There’s the Main Library with both Large and Small string ensembles, and the all new Blends, also with Large and Small strings ensembles. See graphic below for ensemble sizes.
Work Fast/Work Smart
Of all the string ensembles on the market today, only MV SE 2.0 comes with pre-set string templates for Violins, Violas, Cellos and Basses.
There are recorded Violins 2!
For both Film and Concert, the big sound, and until now, the hardest to do in a MIDI mockup, are unison and octave combinations.
But that’s not all. MV SE 2.0 has inspiring all-strings projects for Violins-Cellos-Basses and Violas-Cellos-Basses. There are two sets: Velocity Zones and Mod Wheel. So no matter how you like to work, Miroslav’s got you covered.
Organization is simple and fast (see screen capture below). The program names are so simple, you won’t need the manual. All instrument sections include so called “Info-layer” which show the most important information on a click.
The Legatos are a treat to work with. They operate at slow, medium, and fast depending on how quickly you play the keyboard. You’ll also find Legato Detaches designed for really rapid passages and runs.
The main programs are conveniently organized by Velocity Zones and Mod Wheels, Pads, and Round Robins (Mod Wheel Velocity Zones).
564 Layers and 45 Projects as a perfect base for your work!
Start with the Engine 2.0 player that gives you lots of editing options. Said Sound on Sound in the November 2010 issue, “Engine…is a robust piece of software that contains very powerful editing features in its Pro Edit section, as well as flexible mixing and routing options.”
You can, as a registered user, upgrade to Independence Pro for a very cool rate which gives you an amazing number of editing opportunities and sound design.
The sound of the new MV String Ensembles 2.0 can be described in one word: lyrical, with a natural unprocessed sound that sounds beautiful and plays superbly on the MIDI keyboard.
You don’t need a super powerful computer to get a big string sound. The MV String Ensembles 2.0 is hosted by the Best Service Engine 2 player. No fancy hard drives required – MV String Ensembles 2.0 works great on standard 7200RPM drives of desktop computers or the 5400RPM Drives found on most laptops. Fastest loading patches as you will not find on any other professional string library are guaranteed.
Winds from Miroslav´s former and upcoming Brass Wind libraries!
