Nokia’s Windows Phone devices may have their own exclusive app dedicated to The Dark Knight Rises, but those users are likely to be a little jealous when they find out the mobile game is coming to iOS and Android this summer.
The Verge is reporting that The Dark Knight Rises: The Mobile Game is heading to iOS and Android phones (and presumably, tablets) this summer. Gameloft announced the title with an exclusive 35-second teaser trailer posted to IGN, but they apparently forget to let us know when we could actually buy it.
“When Gotham is threatened… and people live in fear… only one hope remains,” the teaser trailer posted to YouTube (and embedded below) teases.
It’s hard to say from the quick shots used in the trailer how the gameplay will be, but the Christopher Nolan-inspired scenery shows Batman kicking and punching a fair number of random thugs, which is always a good sign.
According to The Verge, the game will also come loaded with in-app purchases, so better start saving your virtual pennies, folks.
