Unlike its sister products, the DODOcase BOOKback does not cover the entirety of the iPhone, but it does borrow its style from the popular DODOcase classic iPad cases and looks good doing it.
The BOOKback is made of Moroccan fabric that resembles the look and feel of a leather-bound notebook. To use it, simply peel off the adhesive backing and stick it on into place. It hasa proper cut out on the back for the camera and flash, with enough extra room so as not to cause shadows when shooting with flash on.
The skin can be reapplied multiple times and for the most part remains fixed, though we did have incident where it came off the iPhone because it snagged on a jean pocket. For the most part, it’s pretty tough to remove it without digging your nail into one of the corners to rip it off. You could probably also tack on a black bumper case and screen protector with any obstruction if you’re really worried about protecting your chassis, but the skin itself looks great on a black iPhone.
The bottom line: The DODOcase BOOKback skin is perfect at what it does and should only be used by careful iPhoners who don’t drop their phone excessively.
